The U.S. ATTACK ON IRAN
Well-deserved and Long Overdue
I support the strike against Iran.
Since 1980 there have been roughly 1,000 Americans killed by Iran or Iranian proxies, including the horrific 1983 Beirut barracks massacre and the hundreds killed in Iraq during our occupation there.
They have been a major sponsor of the terrorist attacks that have killed hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
They recently killed tens of thousands of their own people who were demanding reforms and more freedom.
Worse, they continue to be, by their own admission, a threat. They intend to kill many more Americans as soon as the opportunity presents itself, which it will as soon as they develop the capacity to build nuclear weapons and ICBMs.
I am also a Zionist. However one feels about it being “a historic homeland to the Jewish people as determined by God” and all the rest of that, it is inarguable that Israel is a vital ally and serves as a buttress against Islamic fundamentalism which wishes to see “Death to America!” Iran is a threat to Israel.
However, I pray that this does not turn into another Afghanistan. There we basically just hung out for 20 years, opening schools and whatnot, losing thousands of American lives, spending over 2 trillion dollars - all while allowing the Taliban to live in the Hindu Kush mountain range until they eventually resumed their evil regime.
We should thoroughly decapitate Iran’s political and military leadership, then provide incentives for a more humane, more pro-Western government to take its place.
